Thank you for considering Modern Delphi Counseling. This page outlines important information about appointments, fees, confidentiality, cancellations, and professional services so you know what to expect before we begin working together.
Professional Services
I am Maria Kent, a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) registered with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM).
Services are provided virtually to Manitoba residents and are grounded in evidence-informed practice, professional ethics, and provincial privacy legislation.
These services are intended to support mental health and personal growth but are not a substitute for emergency or crisis care.
Booking and Contact
Counselling inquiries begin with a complimentary 15-minute consultation.
Sessions are conducted by secure video or by telephone.
Services begin after informed consent has been completed and services have been formally agreed upon.

Consultations are offered virtually (Microsoft Teams or telephone).
Fees and Payments
If services are offered and accepted, clients will receive clear information about fees, payment arrangements, cancellation and missed-appointment policies, virtual-care considerations, privacy, and informed consent before counselling begins. These details will form part of the separate client service agreement.
Accepted payment methods include Stripe or e-transfer.
I am committed to accessible care. A sliding scale may be available for clients with financial need. Please don't hesitate to ask about options during your consultation.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Appointments cancelled with at least 24 hours notice may be rescheduled or refunded.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice may be rescheduled once at no additional cost but are generally non-refundable.
Missed appointments are not refundable.
Once professional services have been provided, refunds cannot be issued.
If technical issues prevent a virtual appointment, reasonable efforts will be made to continue the session by telephone or reschedule if necessary.
Communication
Email is appropriate for scheduling and administrative questions.
Email should not be used for urgent mental health concerns or emergencies.
I aim to respond within approximately two business days.
Emergencies
Modern Delphi Counseling does not provide crisis services.
If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or attend your nearest emergency department.

Privacy
Modern Delphi Counseling does not provide counselling services or collect detailed personal health information through this website.
This website is governed by the Modern Delphi Website Privacy Policy, which explains how website information, cookies, and other non-clinical information may be collected and used.
If you contact Maria Kent to inquire about counselling, you will be invited to complete separate intake, consent, and service forms. Any personal health information collected in connection with counselling services is handled in accordance with Manitoba’s Personal Health Information Act (PHIA), applicable professional standards, and the privacy information provided before services begin.
Please do not send detailed personal health information, urgent concerns, or crisis information through ordinary email.
