About
Modern Delphi
Ancient Questions. Modern Life.
Modern Delphi exists because modern life can feel fragmented.

Busy, yet disconnected.
Informed, yet uncertain.
Surrounded by things yet
Hungry for substance.

We believe in helping people reconnect with what matters most.

Hi, I'm Maria.
I am a Registered Psychiatric Nurse in Manitoba with more than two decades of experience supporting individuals and families through life's difficult seasons.
Over the years, I have worked in community mental health, psychiatric rehabilitation, leadership, education, and private practice.
I have always been drawn to the philosophy of wellness:
-
How do we build meaningful lives?
-
How do we cultivate resilience?
-
How do we create homes and communities where people flourish?

Those questions continue to shape everything you will find here - from counseling and writing to the products created for everyday life.

My Approach
I believe that people are more resilient than they often realize, and that joy can come from creating enough space to hear our own inner voice.
I believe simple food can nourish more than our bodies. I believe ordinary rituals matter. I believe that our homes shape us as much as we shape them.
I believe healing begins with seeing things as they are, not as we wish they were, nor as we fear that they may become. That is acceptance, and it is the first step to integrity, and authenticity.
I have spent much of my career walking alongside people in difficult seasons, and my role is not to tell others how to live. My role is to help the person explore, offer perspective, and trust that people already carry far more wisdom than they know.

I may also have a few suggestions, from time to time!

As Martha Rogers reminded us - we are always becoming. And, like everyone else, I am still practicing.
